Manager of ERP

On behalf of our enterprise level retail client, Affinity Staffing is seeking a Manager of Business Systems on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Director of IT, the Manager of ERP will undertake the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Team Management:
  • Part of a team responsible for managing and supporting software solutions;
  • Being the lead on project and task timelines, from design to implementation;
  • Working cohesively and cross-functionally with all team members as the project lead;
  • Mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Understands all business initiatives as they relate to ERP;
  • Manages deliverables IT services;
  • Ensures team has sufficient skills and experience to meet department objectives;
  • Provides performance management and discipline as required;
  • Ensures knowledge transfer and retention in ERP team.
 
  • Analysis:
  • Analyze business and technical requirements with estimates on project and task timelines;
  • Provide recommendations for improvements of existing applications;
  • Analyzing system issues and obtain recommendations to remediate accordingly;
  • Provide quality assurance for applications through appropriate testing and soliciting the assistance of the end users;
  • Maintenance and performance tuning, troubleshooting, and performance Issues of enterprise systems;
  • Assesses systems to ensure they achieve business objectives and business requirements are fully specified;
  • Interprets a variety of disparate business needs and potential alternatives, and translates these into clear and comprehensive business requirements that can be used effectively for systems development;
  • Conducts interviews and product analysis to gather user business requirements via a variety of methods;
  • Communicates rationale behind business objectives and decisions to enhance engagement and empowerment of stakeholders;
  • Reviews business plans, projects, and operational issues with team.
 
  • Production Systems Support:
  • Ensures business and support systems are well maintained and supported;
  • Reviews system performance with business areas to understand and address gaps;
  • Ensures system changes produce intended results and do not adversely affect production (User Acceptance Testing);
  • Ensures that the team can provide appropriate coverage for all core services and that there are no single points of failure;
  • Analyses issues, coordinates system changes, and prepares work requests where necessary;
  • In collaboration with Service Desk, ensures adequate support is provided to business system users.

  • Strong knowledge of IT and how it can support strategic objectives;
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including training and development of peers;
  • Excellent listening skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive when dealing with issues and challenges;
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Keen attention to detail.
