Project Portfolio Manager

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a project portfolio manager for a contract position.  The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with clients, in conjunction with technical staff, in order to gather requirements for the IT infrastructure projects, interact with Solution Architects and technical SMEs to define the solution / deliverables / milestones / estimates for the projects, prepare the corresponding project proposals, and to review and obtain approval of the proposals from the clients.

Services Required:
  • Managing the end-to-end project request in-take process for IT infrastructure
    project requests
  • Development of IT infrastructure project proposals, working with Solution Architects and technical SMEs to gather the project requirements and dependencies from clients and third party vendors / service providers
  • Interfacing with Solution Architects, technical SMEs, and third party service providers to define the project scope, services, deliverables, IT infrastructure hardware / software components, implementation effort / cost estimates, milestones, assumptions, and dependencies 
  • Presenting / obtaining approval of the project proposals from the Health Authority clients
  • Responsible for ensuring that the pipeline of project requests is managed and customers are updated regularly on the status of their project requests
  • Preparation of weekly / bi-weekly client and status updates on the assigned project requests
‚ÄčSpecific Qualifications or Experience Required: 
  • 3+ years’ experience solutioning / developing project proposals for IT infrastructure projects
  • 3+ years’ client relationship management experience
  • 5+ years IT infrastructure project delivery experience, in areas such as servers, storage, data networks, IP telephony (VOIP / PBX), wireless networks, and workstation / output device installs & moves, as  well as implementing the IT infrastructure components (e.g. data / voice / wireless networks / cabling), for facilities construction projects (i.e. new facilities and renovations to existing facilities)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Experience preparing client portfolio level project reporting / presentations
  • Healthcare environment experience is beneficial
