QA Analyst

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a QA Analyst to join a globally growing organization on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Development Manager and working in an Agile environment, the QA analyst is responsible for ensuring our client's website and applications meet established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance through the development of best practices that plan, coordinate and execute testing activities.


Responsibilities
  • Draft, implement and evaluate quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Devise procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data to key stakeholders
  • Create and execute Test Plans to ensure reliability and performance of web applications ensuring QA acceptance criteria is met
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Collect, compile and analyze statistical quality data to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare bug reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Test site content including product images, pricing and product collections as required
  • Test and monitor 3rd party system integrations
  • Partner with Developers to provide feedback and support to deliver on common goals
  • Ensure digital enhancements and projects are delivered on time and within scope


Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in software testing or related field
  • Solid understanding of Software development life cycle
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with Jira considered an asset
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and execute while adapting to change.
  • Detail oriented with strong observational skills
  • Ability to create and update test documentation.
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must
  • Draft, implement and evaluate quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Experience in change management/change initiatives methodology considered an asset
