On behlaf of our enterprise client, Affinity is seeking a Business Analyst for their massive clinical system transformation (CST) project.
 
Project Description:
 
CST Analytics Project
The purpose of this project is to support PHSA’s Clinical Systems Transformation (CST) project.
 
We will start with the delivery of the BC Cancer Data Warehouse (BCCDW) within the EDW data warehouse and then transition to other subject areas as required.
 
The purpose of the BCCDW project will be to meet all the analytics needs currently met by the CAIS data warehouse or other existing data analytics solutions on a modern technology platform, that BC Cancer analysts can use to perform their analysis, and that can be extended to support future needs. 
 
  1. To replace the analytics solutions delivered by the CAIS data warehouse with the BCCDW.
  2. To manage a smooth transition to the BCCDW while BC Cancer adopts the Cerner system for its clinical system.
  3. To implement all necessary reporting against the BCCDW. 
  4. To perform knowledge transfer between BC Cancer analysts and the PHSA data analytics team to support the collaborative approach required for a successful project. 
To ensure BC Cancer analysts have the necessary knowledge, training and access to perform their analyses in a timely manner using the BCCDW and tools
 
Services Required:
 
The successful candidate will:
  1. Provide business analysis for the PHSA CST Project (starting with the BC Cancer Data Warehouse project) which will include
    • documentation of current processes, exceptions and anticipated (future) processes
    • documentation of existing reports and analytics
    • development of specifications for reporting and analytical development
    • Gather and document user requirements
    • Support the development of proof of concept
 
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: 
 
Mandatory:
  • Understanding of clinical and operational processes in hospitals and tertiary care facilities.
  • Experience working with health care data for analytics purposes
  • B.Sc. in health care or health related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience gathering and documenting analytics requirements
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders such as program managers, data custodians, patient quality directors, health authorities and MoH analysts and managers to deliver Data Warehouse and analytics solutions and communicate requirements to the development team.
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans for validation of project deliverables.
  • Experience identifying issues with data and working out optimal solutions with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and data modelling for analytic purposes.
