ERP Project/Program Manager

Affinity is looking for a (contract) Senior ERP Project Manager or Program Manager to oversee our client’s ERP program to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets; coordinate interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays; meet with program team members on a regular basis to review program status and plan future actions. Under minimal supervision the manager will plan, conduct, and manage a program involving several major projects that require a high level of evaluation, analysis, originality, and ingenuity.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials & Operations
  • Manage business transformation activities, including new business process development, training, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Responsible for reporting, risk management, capacity planning, resource management and budget.
  • Provide reports to steering committee and other related stakeholders on the status of the program, overall risk and variance to the baselined schedule.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the functional departments, as required, to ensure that the programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements
  • Anticipate potential schedule or priority delays and initiates plans for alternative actions.
  • Collaborate with project team to prepare a formal Project Charter outlining the objectives, detailed scope, resources, timeline, and budget for each new implementation
  • Manage the effective transition of requirements to the delivery team ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
  • Manage the complete software development lifecycle for approved development activities with a focus on reducing cycle times between functional, technical, and QA resources
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two enterprise level ERP implementation projects which are at least $2M in size
  • Experience working in core financials and operational business processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank and Cash Management, Financial Reporting, Manufacturing Costing, Procurement, Sales, Inventory Management, Production, and Planning is a plus
  • Experience with Agile software development lifecycle methodology is a plus
  • Prior consulting organization experience preferred
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize and communicate commitments is required
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills as evidenced by ability to articulate project status and risks to diverse audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Project and Visio
  • Project Management Professional certification from PMI is strongly preferred
